This whole eGuy thing has been so perplexing. My poor little brain simply cannot fathom why he would so abruptly shut me out. I was hurt and I needed some closure. So I sent him the following message on myspace:
Is there something I should know? Because I don't understand. I thought we were getting along so well. What happened?
I sent the message Monday morning and obsessively stalked my own sent mailbox to see when he would read it. If he would read it.
He did.
I received the following message at 11:30pm on Tuesday:
I just got home. I'm so sorry. I couldn't call because my phone was ran over. I got hit by a car Saturday night as I was taking my dog for a walk. I broke some ribs and have a concussion and a lot of bumps and scrapes. I hope you don't hate me. I don't have your number memorized. Again I'm really sorry!
Is this for real? He's never lied to me before (that I know of) and before this whole incident I definitely trusted him. So why am I skeptical? Is it because I've had 3 days to convince myself that he isn't the person I knew and cared for? That it was all an act. Is it because this is one of the most ridiculous excuses out there?
Although it does explain a lot. Am I a fool if I believe him?

Set a date to see him! He claims he has a lot of bumps and scrapes? So, go see him, see for yourself, then you can decide if you beleive him.
You've read my blog, so you know I've accepted some pretty lame excuses, so of course, I'd beleive him.
I don't believe him for a second...although, I tend not to believe lame excuses like that. I agree with 16 Paws, set a date and see if he's really as banged up as he says he is.
I just wonder..if you hadn't sent him that message, would he have contacted you first to tell you what had happened?
didn't you say he was on myspace? are you friends with him on there? why isn't he mentioning a future make up date? I am just like you. A priori I don't believe... but I'm open to a change of mind.

I think you should see if you can go visit him and his broken ribs. Maybe bring some soup or cookies??? just in case??? On one hand I hope it is true, on the other not 'cause that's gotta really, really hurt! Hope it works out for you.
I say go see him, if he is jacked up, you will know he told you the truth.
A Fair Fairy makes a good point -- you said you noticed he was on MySpace on Sunday, that day after was was supposedly laid up after being hit by a car. So why couldn't he have sent you a quick message then just to let you know? Very strange....
